However, the legitimacy of the Tarot has been debated fro centuries. Some argue that there is nothing mystical about the Tarot cards. Skeptics believe the cards are nothing more than pretty pictures and their efficacy only proves to be a product of one's own imagination. Others believe that the Tarot is a supernatural force that has the power to open you up to negative energy or influences.

In truth, Tarot Reading is a tool. It enables us to peer into the inner workings of our own lives and gain new perspectives. The true power of the Tarot really comes from one's internal self. With practice, the Tarot allows you to become your own oracle. They are mirrors to the self. Similar to meditation and hypnosis, the Tarot can be utilized for understanding and solving problems. The Tarot guides us towards a deeper level of self-awareness and enlightenment.

When it comes to Tarot reading, most readers tend to believe that the future is not absolute. It is flowing, constantly shifting and unfolding into new directions. Tarot reading can, however, disclose potential outcomes and/ or consequences. The future can always change and new possibilities always remain available to those who seek alternative solutions to their problems. Most importantly, the Tarot enables us to giving meaning to our own lives. The symbolisms reflected throughout the Tarot are archetypal in nature. Archetypes are universal themes that reflect basic patterns of human experience. They are the thoughts and emotions that are shared by all. The archetypal imagery throughout the Tarot is universal in nature. They are symbolic of the life stages we journey through from birth to death. They always reflect were we are developmentally and reveal the significant life lessons we must come to learn and accept.
