MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions, except for one hour between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The new moon peaks in Pisces at 4:35 p.m.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

It might sound a bit touchy-feely but today's new moon is your best chance to think about your spiritual aspirations. (Do you have any? I didn't think so.) Then think about how you can be free of mental and physical stress. What method might you employ?

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Are you happy with your friends? Do you hang out with quality people? Do you want to have new friends? Today's new moon urges you to think about these questions. (Of course, if you want to have friends the trick is to be friendly!)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police are aware of you more than usual today. Nevertheless, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give serious thought to your life direction. Are you headed in the direction you want to go? Is it your idea or somebody else's?

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Each new moon is a chance to make resolutions. Think about what further education or training you might get that could improve your job chances or simply enhance your life. Is there something you want to learn? Do you want to travel? How can you expand your world?

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Today's new moon is your best chance all year to think about how you can reduce your debt, solidify your base or deal with taxes and shared property. Draw up a strategy -- a plan of action. Getting out of debt is a really good idea.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Because today's new moon is directly opposite your sign, it's offering you a chance to think about how you can improve your closest relationships -- partnerships and friendships. We can always improve relationships, right? Be a good listener.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

There is something you can do to improve your health, and today is the day to identify it. You might think of one thing or three things. Don't be too ambitious. Just take a small bite so that you can keep chewing.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Romance is strong in your mind today. What do you feel about the romance or lack of it in your life? Generally the best way to get romance in your life is to be romantic! It's highly contagious! If you don't believe me, just try it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Use the energy of today's new moon to think about how you can improve your family relationships and also improve your home. Even though you are a globetrotter, you like to have a home to come back to. What can you do to solidify your base?

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Communications are very important for everyone. No one wants to live in a vacuum. Today's new moon is an opportunity for you to resolve to be more clear in all your communications with others, especially siblings and relatives. Be honest. But never too honest.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This might be one of the best days all year to think about how you can boost your income or how you can earn a little money on the side. In fact, you might even want to think about your values in general. What really matters to you?

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

The only new moon in Pisces that will occur all year is taking place today. Sit down and savour it. But before you sit down, take a look in the mirror and check out your appearance.

Scientists have studied the effect of the full moon and they found that there were less births in the weekends:). The old belief that there are more children born when the moon is full, has been proven wrong. In our days, children are born between 9 and 5 from Monday to Friday, if the doctors had it their way. It is more convenient and it can be done without harming the mother or the child, so why not. But now I will never know if there would be a natural tendency for more births at Full Moon (not all, just some more).
