MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions, except for one hour from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. After that the moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.
ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Don't take it personally if someone close to you is critical. (Ha! How else can you take it?) Essentially, today there is a tendency for others to be critical, negative and discouraging. It just goes with the territory.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Use today's energy for routine work requiring attention to detail. As the day wears on, your imagination enters the picture and things might take on a new spin. Someone older might be keen to give you advice. (Again?)
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
You might feel unusually serious about your responsibilities to your kids today. Or perhaps, your relations with your kids are overly burdensome. Others might feel the same "weight" dealing with romantic partners, or sports events or anything in the arts. It's no big deal, really.
CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Don't let an older relative (especially a parent) discourage you about anything today. Just go along with whatever is happening. (And say as little as possible.) Today has some Eeyore aspects to it. "It will probably rain."
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
You might fall into worry mode today. When I was a kid I had a note on the back of my bedroom door that said, "Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but gets you nowhere." Today I wonder what I was worried about back then. (It's worrisome.)
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You might feel concerned about money issues today. Namely, where is it? However, you can use your excellent powers of concentration today to get routine matters out of the way. Focus will come easily to you. Soon the money will, too.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It's easy to feel cut off and lonely today. Ironically, the reason you might feel this way is you are hiding. It's your choice to avoid others, which in turn, perpetuates the feeling that you're lonely and unloved. This is minor stuff but it's there. Fortunately, it's fleeting. (Send out for dark chocolate.)
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Instead of letting yourself disappear down the rabbit hole with feelings of self-doubt, use today's energy to focus on boring, routine tasks. Roll up your sleeves and get to work because that will be the best way to fight the blues.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Someone older than you might be critical of your plans or ideas. ("Great! Come on over and rain on my parade!") Don't let this get you down. Everyone feels this in varying degrees because there's a bummer element to today. It's that simple. It's also fairly inconsequential. No biggie.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Relations with authority figures will be stiff and reserved today. You might find that others are too quick to tell you why you can't do something. (Dontcha love it?) Knowing this, postpone pitching your ideas or asking anyone for permission.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Travel plans seem to be burdensome or difficult today. If you have to study, you might feel discouraged or overwhelmed. Ironically, if you begin to study something today, you'll be surprised at how focused your concentration is. Try it. (You have nothing to lose but your sanity.)
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
You might be disappointed that your share of something is not what you hoped for. ("This always happens to me!") Others might feel overburdened by a sense of responsibility to someone or something. Fortunately, these feelings are minor, but they're there.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
Actor Josh Brolin (1968) shares your birthday. You are a modern thinker and excellent at dealing with others. You have many interests, but you are particularly skilled at mediating and bringing others together. In part, this is because you know what makes people tick. It's also because you're not a quitter and others are inspired by your example. This year, a fresh new cycle begins for you. Open any door!
